Group Sales Manager - Bridgeport Bluefish (Bridgeport, CT)
Group Sales Manager Bridgeport Bluefish The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a group sales strategy that will be designed to meet group sales goals. The Manager of Group Sales will also be responsible for managing a group of Account Executives, as well as, individually selling group tickets, mini plans and season tickets. • Understand the goals of the organization from a group ticketing perspective and create and implement ideas to reach the goals. • Assist in the coordination and implementation of all team(s) ticketing sales efforts, this includes planning, marketing, telecommunication, organizing, fulfilling and accounting. • Facilitate execution of group ticket sales. This includes picnics, suites and regular group tickets. • Work with merchandising manager to promote souvenir sales to groups. • Manage a team of Account Executives by directing sales activities, setting and reviewing sales targets, coaching, mentoring, recruiting and training. • Sell Bluefish ticket products such as mini plans, season ticket plans, group tickets, and hospitality. • Identify key partnerships within the community to develop the group sales initiative. • Provide reports of ticket sales on a regular basis. Qualifications: • Three or more years of group ticket sales experience. • Experience in the development of a groups sales program. • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills; • Knowledge of ticketing systems • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.

Ticket Sales Full-Time Intern (2010 Season - College Grads only) - Long Island Ducks (Central Islip, NY)


The Long Island Ducks are accepting resumes for a possible ticket sales internship position for the 2010 season. The position could start as early as January and last through September, or the end of the baseball season.

This is an excellent opportunity for a college grad who wants to get into the sports industry in a position with growth potential. Interns are treated as full-time members of the front office staff with the understanding that the Ducks believe that they are cultivating the future work force of the industry.

The Ducks are looking for an aggressive personality to handle multiple responsibilities. The successful candidate will learn all aspects of running a professional franchise, such as: sales, marketing, operations, ticketing, customer service, and more. We are looking for “Work-A-Holics” that aren't afraid to work long hours and get their hands dirty.

The ticketing sales intern’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- customer service and ticket sales through the box office windows and phone line
- cold calling companies and introducing them to the season ticket, group ticket, and partial plan packages available with 
  the Ducks (outgoing personality is extremely important)
- face-to-face interaction with customers during games at our ticket kiosk
- Invoicing and collecting payments
- Mailings, printings, deliveries, etc.
- Mascot appearances, street team, etc.
- Helping other departments where needed
- Long hours and weekends are the norm
