Sales and Ticket Operations Future Openings - Atlantic League and its Teams (Various Locations, NA)

The Sales and Ticket Operations Future Openings post covers 4 main areas of business across the Atlantic League and its teams: Corporate Sales, Group Sales, Ticket Sales, and Box Office. 1.Corporate Sales

The successful person will be an aggressive salesperson that leads by example with a track record of success and desire to achieve greatness.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for solicitation, presentation and procurement of overall sponsorship sales. 
  • Responsible for the direct sales of partnership and advertising packages utilizing all mediums available, as well as creating new ones. 
  • Responsible for generating and developing new business through leads lists, name collection activities, cold calls, networking events, speaking engagements, etc. 
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity during the sales and service process with each Corporate Partner or potential Corporate Partner. 
  • Oversee and ensure the fulfillment aspect of all partnership accounts.
  • Keep accurate sales files, customer services files, call reports, appointment schedule reports, prospects reports, etc. Maintain weekly communication on all activity reports. 
  • Prepare sales proposals. 
  • Learn partner objectives, sales, marketing & community development initiatives as well as hot buttons related to partner needs, wants and likes and dislikes. 
  • Be eyes and ears for team and partnership relationships. Communicate to appropriate staff; attend off site functions and meetings for and with team & partners’ objectives in mind. 
  • Consistently promote team and seek to develop business relationships. 
  • Consistently work to keep current partners involved with team (meeting and exceeding expectations). 
  • Maintain accurate, organized, detailed and up to date records, files, databases, contacts and budgets. 
  • Mentor and encourage junior employees.  
  • Other duties as assigned by general manager.

2. Group Sales

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing group sales for the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the goals of the organization from a group ticketing perspective and create and implement ideas to reach the goals.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of all team ticketing sales efforts, this includes planning, marketing, telecommunication, organizing, fulfilling and accounting.
  • Facilitate execution of group ticket sales. This includes picnics, suites and regular group tickets.
  • Work with merchandising manager to promote souvenir sales to groups.
  • Sell ticket products such as mini plans, season ticket plans, group tickets, and hospitality.
  • Identify key partnerships within the community to develop the group sales initiative.

3. Ticket Sales

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing season and group sales for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the team growth in season ticket, partial season ticket and group ticket revenue
  • Prospecting new customers, and maintaining solid relationships with current clients
  • Meeting and exceeding weekly and seasonal sales targets
  • Efficiently cold calling new potential prospects and consistently converting new prospects into clients
  • Providing quality, professional customer service to accounts
  • Conducting appointments with prospective clients
  • Representing the team at marketing and networking events
  • Cultivating relationships with current clients for referral leads
  • Creatively developing new ways to boost attendance of the team

4. Box Office

  • Selling and managing season ticket plans
  • Coordinating and executing all facets of ticket processing including incoming individual orders, with strong emphasis placed on customer service and fan interaction.
  • Accounting, reconciling, and maintaining other financial aspects of the Box Office
  • Working closely with our Marketing department to facilitate all targeted ticket programs
  • Generating ideas to increase sales of all ticket types
  • Training of all interns and part-time employees who will staff the Box Office.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
  • Work with the group sales department filling and managing all group orders.
  • Attend to Customer Service needs involving ticketing issues.
  • Become knowledgeable about all Ticket Policies and Procedures.

Ticket Sales & Service: Ticket Sales Management
Director of Season and Group Sales - Lancaster Barnstormers Professional Baseball Team (Lancaster, PA)

Personally responsible for selling and maintaining business accounts and relationships for the organization

  • Lead coordinated efforts to achieve desired ticket and suite revenue results each season

  • Aid in training, motivating and supervision of Ticket Sales Associates, be a knowledgeable resource with respect to selling techniques / tactics, team / organizational information and history

  • Establish accountability for each sales team member through outreach volume, contests, etc. 

  • Lead weekly sales meetings to review activity and goals plus communicating updates on pending projects, events and game nights

  • Ensure that all organizational, season, group and individual ticket sales and renewal goals are met annually

  • Generate leads via prospecting, networking, attending events, cold calls and other business related events
  • Monitor, track and analyze all season ticket, flex ticket plans, group ticket and individual sales activity

  • Maintain accurate sales activity records in ticketing software

  • Aid in management of all correspondence/communications with Season Ticket Holders and Group Leaders

  • Represent the organization with a professional attitude and appearance at all internal / external events

  • Actively participate in local business groups and associations

  • Manage renewals, retention and development of all current ticket / suite sales accounts in conjunction with sponsorship department

  • Lead staff by example through personal sales outreach and efforts, joining on appointments, etc.
  • Management of ticket sales staff on gamedays, as well as during events and community initiatives
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions with the highest level of customer service and professionalism
  • Contribute to new activation departmental processes (i.e. Ticket Sales & Suites)

  • Active participation in select business development ideation sessions for ticket / suite sales and development
  • Aid in the development of all promotional offers, packages and products to help generate further interest and revenue of all ticket and suite products
  • Knowledge of facility operations and catering services
  • Manage and fulfill additional duties as assigned from time-to-time by the General Manager
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned to ensure fulfillment of all ticket and suite sales affiliations

Seasonal Group Sales Intern (Multiple Positions Available) - New Britain Bees (New Britain, CT)

The New Britain Bees are accepting resumes for multiple Seasonal Group Sales Interns for the 2017 Season. The start date would be December or January and the internship would run through the 2017 New Britain Bees season (Late September/Early October). Candidates must be current college students and must be able to dedicate a significant about of time to the internship. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP; however, commission will be paid out on accounts sold by the intern.  Strong writing and verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a dynamic, small-office environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, able to handle multiple tasks, work long hours (weekends & evenings included), be willing to get his/her hands dirty, and assist the ticket sales department in:

Group Ticket Sales Intern - York Revolution (York, PA)

Full Time Group Sales Internship (2017 Season) - York Revolution (York, PA)

Do you get along well with other people and have a knack for having fun?  Do you enjoy hosting people in social environments and creating a good time for all?  Do you want to work somewhere you get to enjoy sports, share fun experiences at the ballpark and make people happy?  Boy do we have the job for you!

What you'll do:

Full-Time Group Ticket Sales Interns of the York Revolution juggle a multitude of tasks that help drive revenue for the team through group ticket sales, birthday party coordination and work on theme night events.  You essentially become an ambassador for the team, call people to share the excitement of how they can join in on the fun, work with our team of rockstars to pull off stellar events and help pack the ballpark so it's always fun to be here.  We know, it's hard to believe that's really a job!

When you'll do it:

ASAP!  We're looking for recent college grads or those done in May to join us for the summer.  If available, you're hired to work through September 30th.  If you go back to school, we'll be sad to see you go, but we get it.

You'll work 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri on non-game days and evenings when we do have games. Full-time paid interns work all home games (with some exceptions) and hold the same office hours and overall time commitment as full-time salaried employees.  You get to be a real professional - how neat!  There will also be opportunities to make some extra cash for special non-baseball events too. 

Do I get paid?

Full-time paid interns get a monthly stipend as well as sales commission, if applicable. The monthly stipend will range between $750 and $900 per month, depending on the area of responsibility. Only recent college graduates will be eligible for full time internships.  Sales interns will also be eligible for commission on sales based on the discretion of the Vice President of Business Development.  

Current college undergraduates will be eligible for unpaid internships for college credit or paid internships as determined when hired.

Housing

The York Revolution does not provide housing, though we will assist in any way possible an intern in need of a place to live and/or roommates.

Meals

On game days, The York Revolution will provide an evening meal to interns who are here working the entire business day and are staying on through the game.

Internship Duties and Responsibilities

• Prospecting local businesses and organizations for potential catered and non-catered group ticket business, including, but not limited to, company picnics, corporate entertainment in party suites, birthday parties, non-profit fundraisers, theme nights, etc.
• New business prospecting;
• Strong emphasis on lead generation via comprehensive phone sales training;
• Learn consultative sales philosophy;
• Deal with inbound calls and leads in a consultative manner and help place them into a ticket plan that best fits their needs;
• Learn strong presentation and customer service skills;
• Setting up meetings with potential clients outside of the office;
• Build strong rapport, trust and credibility with our customers;
• Customer service calls to group accounts prior to and immediately following their event;
• Servicing clients during their group’s event;
• Assist in Box Office as needed;
• Assist with Stadium operations as needed;
• Assist with general front office management issues as needed.
 

Sales experience is not required for candidates.  In addition, the sales intern will have responsibility for executing customer service for catered birthday parties at PeoplesBank Park in the 2017 season.

Many previous interns have been hired on full-time with the Revolution.  There are also Revolution intern alumni working in the AFL, NFL, MLS, NBA, MiLB, MLB & NHL!
