About the Sugar Land Skeeters

The Sugar Land Skeeters are led by former Major Leaguer Gary Gaetti and play at Constellation Field, a state-of-the art stadium located at the intersection of State Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 90A in Sugar Land.  The Skeeters play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, considered the highest level of Minor League Baseball.


The graphics coordinator candidate will be expected to work 40 office hours a week, as well as all Skeeters home games. The position is suited for creative, motivated individuals who have experience in sports entertainment and graphic design. Software applications that will be utilized include: Adobe CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier), Final Cut X, Motion, Click Effect Crossfire, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


• Design flyers and other marketing collateral

• Assist with other projects within the marketing department

• Create original animated and static graphics for in-game use

• Various game night roles (Technical Director, Music Op, Instant Replay, etc).

• Other duties as assigned


Candidates must possess proficient written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to organize/prioritize; must have attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment; must be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn; and must display a professional attitude.

About the Sugar Land Skeeters:

The Sugar Land Skeeters play at Constellation Field, a state-of-the-art stadium located in Sugar Land – just 20 minutes from downtown Houston.  The Skeeters play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, considered the highest level of Minor League Baseball.  The Skeeters have drawn over 2 million fans in the first four seasons of play in the Atlantic League.

About the position:

The grounds crew assists the Head Groundskeeper in such areas as:

  • Infield skin maintenance
  • Mound and home plate repair
  • Mowing and sod work
  • Working remaining home Skeeters games, as well as tournaments
  • Landscape upkeep: trimming, weeding, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Some experience in general lawn care, preferably in the sports field setting
  • Ability to work all Skeeters games (, as well as any special events held at Constellation Field
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more; this is a physically taxiing position

Media Relations Intern - Sugar Land Skeeters Baseball (Sugar Land, TX)

Position: March 2017-September 2017 (End of the Season)

Paid Position

Media Relations Intern: The Sugar Land Skeeters are accepting resumes for a Media Relations Intern for the 2017 season. The start date would be in April and the internship would run through the 2017 season (late September/early October). This is a six-month full-time commitment.  Experience in public information, sports information, media relations, public relations and/or event management is preferred. Candidate must have strong writing and verbal skills and be able to communicate with numerous audiences including media, team staff, front office, fans and sponsors.  The successful candidate should be reliable, able to handle multiple tasks, work long hours (weekends & evenings included), team player and assist the department in:

  • Writing and distributing periodic press releases, program copy and media guide.
  • Providing copy and player text and graphics for the Skeeters website.
  • Statistical updates distributed to staff and media during home games.
  • Writing daily game notes, game summaries and other daily informational material during the season.
  • Acting as a liaison and providing support to media.
  • Writing player bios, assist in layout and production of team program and media guide.
  • Assisting in game operations of the press box.
  • Produce game line-up each game and update line-up and standings board in stadium
  • Interacting with fans in a customer friendly fashion.
  • Serving as support staff for all other departments on an “as needed” basis.
  • Other duties as assigned including: player appearances, mascot appearances, tarp duties (rain games), distributing promo items and programs pre-game and other duties as assigned


  • College degree with emphasis in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Photoshop

Sales Manager - Sugar Land Skeeters (Sugar Land, TX)


The Sales Manager focuses on group and sponsorship sales and is directly responsible for retaining and growing revenue from both group sales and new season ticket sales, as well as new and renewal sponsorship.  The execution is to be action-based, creative, focused, organized and responsive. Working directly with the GM, the Sales Manager will develop and execute their own personal business plan. 

•    Provide Customer Service to existing sponsorship accounts by visiting with the accounts throughout the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact.
•    Grow sponsorship revenue streams through renewals and new sales.
•    Set Appointments over the phone with corporate decision makers, with a certain number of appointments per week as a goal for success in the position.
•    Deliver the Sponsorship sales presentations on appointments with company decision-makers.
•    Sell and develop Suite inventory.
•    Assist in the creation and implementation of consumer and business-to-business-based promotions
•    Maintain Database and add new database leads.
•    Prospect for quality leads.
•    Visit with accounts and maintain and develop relationship with sponsorship clients.
•    Assist in growing Events and Ticketing Revenues, including selling these inventories as necessary.

Special Events Intern: The Sugar Land Skeeters are looking for a special events intern. The special events team hosts event such as, but not limited to, college baseball games, concerts, festivals, and tournaments. This intern will be required to work nights as well as many weekends, as most events are held during these times. Applicants must be able to work during the special events busy season (September through December), both in the office during the day and at the events as they may come.

Job Duties:
