The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention of athletic injuries; the maintenance of the health and well-being; and the recuperation and rehabilitation following illness, injury, or surgery of all players.
The Athletic Trainer works under the supervision and in direct contact with the Team Physicians and/or the medical consultants associated by the team, with the aim of fielding a healthy squad of players for the Lancaster Barnstormers pre-season, regular season and post-season practices, exhibitions and matches.
The Athletic Trainer must meet with the Manager on a daily basis and report on the overall health and progress of the players.
Responsibilities:
? Working in conjunction with team doctors, evaluate, advise, and treat athletes to assist recovery from injury, avoid injury, or maintain peak physical fitness.
? Treat minor injuries and disabilities. Administer first aid to injured players. Wrap ankles, fingers, or wrists for support.
? Oversee the daily management of the training room, including ordering and storing supplies and equipment.
? Call physicians for seriously injured athletes.
? Along with business manager, assist injured athletes in completing and submitting insurance claims.

Qualifications:
? Requires traveling with the team, night and weekend games.
? Must be certified with NATA

      <description>For the first time in 44 years, professional baseball returned to Lancaster in the form of the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2005. In only four seasons, Lancaster has quickly become one of the top destinations in all of minor league baseball and the Atlantic League. The Lancaster Barnstormers are operated by Opening Day Partners, one of the premiere ownership groups in professional sports. Opening Day Partners also operates 3 other professional baseball teams within the Atlantic League.
Clipper Magazine Stadium, a 6,200-seat state-of-the-art venue, is home to the Barnstormers and is open year round. Come winter, right field turns into an ice skating rink and is the only place in Lancaster where you can skate under the stars. In addition to baseball and ice skating, Clipper Magazine Stadium plays hosts to movie nights, concerts, baseball tournaments, and other community events.

The successful candidate will oversee the merchandising and marketing efforts of one the Charter Franchises of the Atlantic League.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Working with purchasing budget of over $100,000
    Overseeing the overall day-to-day operations of the Gear Shop (official team merchandise store)
    
        Assist in planning, coordinating and staffing of Gear Shop.
        Manage Online Gear Shop through website
    
    
     Coordination and implementation of all purchasing and ordering of apparel &amp;amp; sponsorship items
    Act as major part of the off-season sponsorship sales team.
    Production of sponsor proof of performance packages, customer interaction and much more.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in sports merchandising, marketing or sales. Knowledge of store software is a plus.
